I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
